Tamiya has a 1/24 Beetle model kit too. I have plans to use that body on a 24th scale build one of these days.

Team Blue Groove makes lexan bodies and they are into "Bug" bodies. I just found them so I can't vouch for their quality just yet.
I'm going to try their body donation program tho. Jon seems like a pretty nice guy.

There are a lot of options out there in the 1/25 scale model kits from AMT, Revell, MPC, etc. that you can adapt to the 24th scale chassis. It just takes a bit of ingenuity.
