well...
i finally got the hubs in
forgot hubcaps but is par for the course.
got the new tires on the new rims, glued them puppies down didnt make the worst mess, hopefully soon ill be able to order one of the applicators @WickedFog suggested so ill be able to make em look even better. but as this was my first attempt I'm not being super harsh about it. next set better be GD perfect lemme tell ya....
took her out for a test run. lasted 38 whole seconds before i broke something! I'm impressed to be honest
need to trim the body some, tore off my passenger mirror gonna have to send her to the body shop.
then i ripped around a little, just seeing if they gripped better. WAAAAY better
then i tore off the positive battery wire. good times.
I'm not allowed to drive it unless i break it *sigh*
so now the cen is DOWN AGAIN. I'm pretty busy at work this week but i think one day this week I'm gonna have to just party down and learn to solder. it APPEARS to be relatively simple. i want to practice a few times with some dead wire i have before i risk my motor.
i tried to raise the body posts. the rears were already raised to their max height, i dug around the parts box and found the stock ecto shock towers which still had the posts attached, they were almost twice as long. i could still raise it up higher if i needed to.
new problem.
the bed now sits quite a bit above the trailer hitch. no way to hook up. i may end up cutting a hole in the bed that the coupler will slide through but ill have to look.
i have the trailer on the shelf until i learn how to reinforce it,
i know I'm gonna need some aluminum angle, new tires I'm hopeful some from that janky bangood truck will work for that purpose, . I'm just not ready to start that project quite yet so the hitch isnt an issue ( till it is lol)
