Hello guys, hope you all are having a great memorial weekend.
So I was bored and I needed a project so I decided to use the esc and receiver that came with my hbx 3100a, the esc is a hobbywing wp-s16-rtr (I figure the rtr means ready to run?). I just linked the pro controller to the new receiver, which worked great.
Do you guys have any tips on what to do after the swap? Not sure if I have to reset the esc to the new motor.
Any help is appreciated
Martin

Of course I lost the bumper lights but I was thinking about using the binding plug to make an adapter to the new esc.

As long as everything works, I'd just throw a body onto it and give it a spin.

I’m on that! 👍

So what about making an adapter out of the binding plug?

I am, I found a 2 pin to servo adapter.
👍

So I took the little truck for a spin and I noticed after I run it and I stopped the motor shaked until I touch the throttle. Also the esc light flickered. I connected the esc to channel 2 and the servo to channel 1. That did the trick.
This thing rips through pavement and grass. I upgraded the tires to the Remo 1/16 P6973 wheels, so much better!

The motor feels a bit hot, I want to add a fan. Any recommendations?
Thanks
